Step 1: Your Name
To complete this step, you must type in your first name and last name. If you have a middle initial you may choose to type that in, but you don;t have to.
Step 2: User ID and Password
In this step you will create a User ID and Password, which you will use to return to an incomplete application, sign your application, and check the status of your application after you submit it. For each of these, you should choose something that;s easy for you to remember but hard for other people to guess.
When you create your password, please be sure your password contains at least 14 characters and three character categories. Valid categories are digit, uppercase, lowercase and special characters. User ID and Password cannot match 3 sequential characters. For example, you would not be allowed to use "myBenefits" as a password because it doesn;t have a number. Instead, you could use something like "myBenefits3" because it is at least 8 characters long and includes at least 3 letters and a number.
When you create your password, we ask you to re-type it. This helps us make sure that you don;t create the wrong password by mistake.
Step 3: Secret Question and Email Address
We;re asking this question in case you lose your password or want to create a new one. If that happens, we;ll ask you to give us some personal information along with an answer to your Secret Question. If you answer all the questions correctly, you;ll be able to create a new password.
Choose a Secret Question by clicking on the box and then clicking on the question you;d like to answer. Choose a question that only you know the answer to. Then, type the answer in the Answer box. You may also enter your email address that can be used if you ever need to recover your user id.
