ACEs are strongly related to brain development and a wide range of health problems throughout a person’s lifetime. If you or a loved one has experienced ACEs, services may be available in your community. Eligible New Yorkers are encouraged to apply for FCCs Affordable Connectivity Program, an extension of the Emergency Broadband Fund, that provides discounts up to $30/month toward internet service. Visit www.fcc.gov/acp for more information and to sign-up.
Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)
The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) helps low income households pay the cost of drinking water and wastewater services. The program can assist households who have past due bills (arrears) for drinking water and/or wastewater services. LIHWAP can help prevent your drinking water and wastewater services from being shut off. For more information and how to apply please visit https://otda.ny.gov/programs/water-assistance/.
